My hubby and I are starting to take one night each week and cook together…we want to try new recipes. We are a newly married couple, and neither one of us know how to cook very well. We’d like to learn by doing, and build a repertoire of recipes that are so great we may even be able to invite friends over to share what we’ve learned!
So, I know how to make spaghetti and the like. I CAN cook some, but Im best at meatless dishes, like homemade pizza, soups, potatoes, spaghetti or other pasta with sauce, salad, etc. So maybe some dishes with some meat in them. Thanks a ton for your help!

I found this recipe for a linguine dish with italian sausage and shrimp from cooks.com
Italian sausage
1 lb. shrimp
1 stick butter
olive oil
green onions
garlic
salt and pepper
1 lb. linguine or spaghetti
broccoli (optional)
I ate a linguine with clams and clam sauce with a tomato at Buca before, it was a frutti linguine. I guess I need opinions on would it taste right in this dish ^above^?
