I have thought of a recipe and I was wondering if people thought it was worth baking. Buy crescent roll dough, fill the dough with cooked noodles, pasta sauce, and parmesan cheese. Then, roll up the dough and bake it. I don’t know how long to bake it for, but does it soung tasty? I will call them spaghetti rolls.

My husband and I have been invited to a 7:00pm dinner party tomorrow evening with a New American/ Whole foods / California Contemporary theme and have been asked to bring an entree. Unfortunately, we are both working 9:30am-6:00pm tomorrow and have no extra money until payday, so it has to be something we can make in the crockpot at work tomorrow with ingredients we already have.

Can someone better explain this theme to me and suggest any recipes?

Ingredients we have on hand:
Pork chops
chicken breast
brisket
pinto, kidney, & black beans and lentils
rice
spaghetti/angel hair pasta
tomato sauce
cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup
frozen peas, carrots, green beans, mixed veggies
2 oranges, bananas, and a few grapes
assorted spices
biscuits
flour, sugar, misc baking ingredients

Even if not chosen for tomorrow, your suggestions will become candidates for future dinners. Thank you so much!

are picky eaters? I have a 7 yr old that will only eat spaghetti with no sauce and potatoes and gravy, and an almost 3 yr. old that won’t eat dinner at all. I have never catered to pickiness. I make dinner and my children can take it or leave it, within reason… I mean, if they’re sick, obviously I’ll make them something else for dinner which is appropriate. Any great dinner recipes for kids that are sure-fire hits in your house?
I don’t make spaghetti or potatoes and gravy very frequently. I like to have a wide variety of foods, mexican, italian, oriental, oldies but goodies like meatloaf, pot roast, pork chops, southern fried chicken, etc. I just don’t get why they won’t eat, and I’m SO FRUSTRATED!!! the 3 yr old is very very small ( he wears size 18 mos, but is not failure to thrive. His father was the same, and is still small), and I just ACHE when he won’t eat!

Today is shopping day and so I plan on planning out some meals to have so I have an ideal on what I’m buying.

I’m looking for any and all recipes that are delicious and somewhat simple. Chicken, hamburger meat, etc, I don’t care what kind of meat that goes into it. =] But I’m not much for fried foods. Somewhat healthy would be great, too.

Also, my mom wants me to cook a chicken spaghetti NOT using tomato sauce, so if you have any simple recipes making that, please share. =]

Thanks! I will pick a best answer!!
